Teenage Girl’s Bedroom Wall

My girls had been begging me to redo their bedroom for a long while. I made a deal with them and told them that if they could keep their room clean for a whole month, thirty consecutive days and nights, that I would redo their bedroom for them. A few months later…….couldn’t do it!!! But, I caved!! I started off by painting one of their walls. I took the girls down to Home Depot and picked out three colors of paint. We decided to paint the wall into three different slices, kind of like three different sized triangles. After painting the wall, I took a thin piece of wood and nailed it to the top of the wall where it meets the ceiling. From there, I screwed in several lag screw eyes and strung lights. My girls were really wanting vines as some sort of decor, so we also hung those from the lag screw eyes; I used green zip ties to attach them. Overall, the wall came out super cute and looks great with the rest of the bedroom. It was just the beginning piece, but was a great focal point to start with.

The wood that I used for the top of the wall to hang all of the lighting and the vines, I used to make the lines on the walls. After making my lines, I used painters tape to divide my slices up.
