Disneyland is always so much fun! Our family has been Annual Passholders for many years now, so you can imagine how hard the Covid-19 shut down was for our little ones…. ok, and for us parents too!! It’s so funny because it is literally a Love/Hate relationship. We usually get to the park and immediately the, “it’s to hot, it’s to crowded, and the lines are to long,” crying and moaning sets in, but, the moment that we leave, we can’t wait to go back. We literally want to book a Hotel for our next visit as we’re exiting the park. You know how they say, “Vegas puts something in the air; once you get there, you just get in a good and happy mood?” hahaha, well Disneyland does something like that too, but you inhale it on the way out, making you want to come back, (just kidding).

We also do the Oogie Boogie Bash, something else that we have enjoyed doing annually. It’s always such a blast. Year to year, they switch it up and have it at different parks, 2021, the Oogie Boogie Bash was held at California Adventure. I personally favor California Adventure because this park serves alcoholic beverages, no-I’m not an alcoholic, lol. I just enjoy the adult life from time to time and what’s a better place to have a drink to calm those, “my kids are driving me nuts,” nerves than at California Adventure!

One of the best things about the Oogie Boogie Bash is that there is a capacity limit; the down side to this is that you have to get those tickets far in advance. With that capacity limit, it makes the park far more enjoyable with plenty of space to move around. Did I mention how you have to reserve those Oogie Boogie Bash tickets far in advance?? I know it seems a bit to early to be covering this, I mean-it’s only April right? but it can and does get pretty pricey, especially if you have several children….. {FIVE HERE!!!} So now is the time to start planning….. hotels, ticket costs, food….. These tickets go on sale July 13th and starts at $114.00 a person, depending on which day you choose to go. Another unfortunate downside to this event is, these Ooogie Boogie Bash tickets are a separate cost from the regular day cost to get into the park. This event is held on select nights throughout September through October 31st and they open their doors to the Oogie Boogie Bash guests at 3:00; their main event actually starts at 6:00 pm.

Dressing up is definitely a part of the gig; what’s a Halloween event without dressing up?!?! Dressing up is the best part…. well, one of the best parts.

During the Oogie Boogie Bash, the park offers table side view of the Halloween parade. There are two dining packages that you can reserve seats at for the viewing of the Frightfully Fun Parade: The Wine Country Trattoria Oogie Boogie Bash Parade Dining and Sonoma Terrace Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party. You do have to make reservations to eat at these two particular restaurants prior to your visit. Getting a table last minute is impossible, so if this is something that you’re interested in, look into it prior to your visit!!

The Wine Country Trattoria, Oogie Boogie Bash Parade Dining is a three course meal, including an appetizer, entree, and a dessert. Adults will cost you $55.00 as children (3-9 years old) will cost you $40.00. A cast member shared with me that during this event, for children, you’ll receive an Oogie Boogie popcorn bucket and if adults would like one, it’s an additional charge of $17.00. She also went on to share that this is the only way that you can purchase this popcorn bucket, you must purchase the package.

The Sonoma Terrace, Ooogie Boogie Bash Dessert is available twice per night, one at 7:00 pm and the other at 9:30 pm. These tickets can be purchased up to 60 days prior to your event. This reserved seating for viewing the Frightfully Fun Parade with treats only serves sweets.

There are so many cute things to enjoy doing and seeing during their Halloween time, so try and plan your trip far in advance. Also, don’t forget about all of the cute Spooky Halloween merchandise that Disney has to offer during this season of fun! The ears, the home decor, and all of the adorable toys and stuffies; every time we attend this function, I want it all….in other words, save your pennies.
