Mother’s Day, as every other one in the past, was great! My kid’s told me last night to sleep in today and to not worry about getting up early to get Emarie, the youngest in the family, up in the morning. I woke up around 9:00 in the morning to a cute little decorated box with a thoughtful gift inside, in front of my bedroom door and my kids bringing me breakfast; it was super adorable! My babies got me this pool side towel that I have been eye balling, a yummy smelling candle, (I love candles!!) gum and a cute card. After getting up and getting ready for the day, I walked down stairs to the house clean, a beautiful boutique of flowers and a card from my husband and my husband working on our new shed that is in progress. Now, for those who don’t know Ryan and I, I am constantly “nagging” him to finish or help me finish projects 🙂 So this was a big thing to me to wake up to our shed on the way to being done without a word from me.

Today was the first day, in a very long time, to see my grandparents, so this made my day even better. I’m very close to my grandma and it’s been a little hard to not have the option to visit her with the Covid-19 standing in effect; I’m sure some of you’s can relate. We decided to make our extended family visit on the shorter side, opposed to making it a day thing, so we chose to have a brunch. Brunch was delicious and fairly simple, I mean, would you have it any other way? We had fresh fruit, chocolate covered strawberries, potato salad, and the essentials to make yummy deli sandwiches. Everything was tasteful and very filling.

My grandparents left shortly after arriving, they stayed and hung out for about an hour and half and then my in-laws came over for a bit, everything was short and sweet! I ended up with a lot of flowers!!! What mommy doesn’t adore flowers, especially the ones that you can plant and admire longer than a week and a half.

After all of our, “hello’s” and “good-bye’s,” we ended up on the front patio hanging out with kiddos for a bit. We are now on our third movie sitting on the couch relaxing; I couldn’t have had a better day!!
