Summer Shopping!!!
Isn’t it funny how when Winter’s here, we can’t wait for Summer to come half way through the season……and vice versa. Well, Springs here and I am looking forward to the sunny days!!! I mean the clothes, the patio furniture, the colors…..the Summer vibes, I love it all. Then Summer gets here and it’s to hot to enjoy it, that’s besides the point right now 🙂 We’ll stay focused on the upside of Summer. Every store I have visited recently has their cute bathing suits and giant sunny banners up front right as you walk in, it’s season entrapment!!! I mean it sprinkled and was a bit gloomy today and I still went ahead and bought a bathing suit not caring; it was to cute to pass up. Marketers sure do know what they’re doing, they target people like me. Retailers always put there “great deals” up front as you walk in, leading into the women’s section, and feet away from that is their accessory department. It’s a beautiful sight. Target seems to have mastered this practice; I am so weak when I walk in there. I’ll go in for milk and somehow spend a minimum of $100.00, EVERY TIME!
Not only is not safe for us mamas/women to walk into a store because of the temptations that surround you, but then we have our kids and our husband/partner to worry about as well; you may as well get a part time job just to fund your summer cravings. My kids love all of the pool toys, outdoor activities like chalk, bubbles, and ball assortments, and then there’s my husband who is just as bad as I am, if not worse. He wants to replace or upgrade camping and fishing gear, or get new grill supplies, among a number of other things.
Summer’s not here yet and I already just feel so happily obligated to redo so many areas in my house, shop for new clothes and tackle yard work-yes WORK! I swear, there is some kind of mystical mist blown into the air that makes us consumers in a great mood to go out and spend. This week, I have accomplished an adorable little fence around my front porch patio, and of course, I had to go out and shop for supplies to conquer the vision I had in mind. Naturally, after finishing the fence, I had to go out and buy new patio furniture to put in the new fenced area. Today, while purchasing my new bathing suit, I found two cute wicker chairs; they look great and fit perfectly in my new boxed in area, now I need a nice table to add to the wicker chairs, it’s now on my shopping list. I also bought some pretty pots to plant my new beautiful greenery and flowers in, they also look amazing on my front porch patio. I’m so excited to utilize this freshly decorated area this Summer while spending time outside with my family.
With all of this fresh air and beauty that surrounds us in the sunny daylight, have fun with your new finds and and enjoy your shopping trips for all your summer fulfilled “essentials,” just keep mind that your bills need to be paid! 🙂
As always, Love me and hope you had fun with the reading!!!
